In Q2 2024, the fitness and weight loss app category saw varying levels of engagement across the top apps in the US. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into how these apps have performed.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike showed a consistent revenue trend, peaking at nearly $32K in late April. Downloads for the app fluctuated, with a notable spike to over 800K downloads at the end of April. Weekly active users (WAUs) remained relatively stable, starting at around 18K in early April and ending with a slight increase to over 17K by late June.

BetterMe: Health Coaching experienced a revenue dip in late April to around $13K, before partially recovering to over $15K in early June. Downloads hovered around the mid-hundreds throughout the quarter, with a slight increase at the end. WAUs showed resilience, climbing from approximately 2.6K to over 3K by June's end.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter revenue displayed volatility, with a mid-quarter peak of over $11K. Downloads remained fairly consistent, averaging around 350K. WAUs started at approximately 7.8K and showed a slight increase to 7.6K by the quarter's conclusion.
