In Q2 2024, the fitness and weight loss app category saw varying levels of engagement across the top apps in the US. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into how these apps have performed.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike showed a consistent revenue trend, peaking at nearly $32K in late April. Downloads for the app fluctuated, with a notable spike to over 800K downloads at the end of April. Weekly active users (WAUs) remained relatively stable, starting at around 18K in early April and ending with a slight increase to over 17K by late June.

BetterMe: Health Coaching experienced a revenue dip in late April to around $13K, before partially recovering to over $15K in early June. Downloads saw a drop in late April, but gradually climbed back up, reaching over 1K by the end of June. WAUs saw a decline from early April's 5K to around 4K by the quarter's end.

Zwift: Ride and Run had a revenue increase in June, with earnings reaching nearly $15K. Downloads remained low, with the highest at 58K in late April. WAUs showed an upward trend in May and June, with numbers rising from 134 to 158 by the end of the quarter.

JustFit: Lazy Workout & Fit saw fluctuating revenue, peaking at over $14K in mid-April before dropping to $7K in late May. Downloads hovered around the mid-hundreds throughout the quarter, with a slight increase at the end. WAUs showed resilience, climbing from approximately 2.6K to over 3K by June's end.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter revenue displayed volatility, with a mid-quarter peak of over $11K. Downloads remained fairly consistent, averaging around 350K. WAUs started at approximately 7.8K and showed a slight increase to 7.6K by the quarter's conclusion.
